Mass Effect

Mass Effect Ending DLC comming June 26.

23 June 2012

The Extended Cut expands on the endings of Mass Effect 3 through additional scenes and epilogue sequences. It provides more of the answers and closure that players have been asking for. It gives a sense of what the future holds as a result of the decisions made throughout the series. And it shows greater detail in the successes or failures based on how players achieved their endings.”

The Extended Cut is an expansion of the original endings to Mass Effect 3. It does not fundamentally change the endings, but rather it expands on the meaning of the original endings, and reveals greater detail on the impact of player decisions.

So, there you have it, folks. Brace for impact.

Me? I’ll probably watch this on Youtube, since none of my complaints about the game are adressed. No fixing of the godawful plot-/romance arcs for most of ME2’s squadmates, and my Shep still will not be able to call BULLSHIT on Spacechilds’s craptastic offering of “explanations.”

*takes a deep breath*

Nope, I am not going to rant…

Oh, and do you know what else will hit us that day? SWTOR patch 1.3.

Yes!

I beat that goddam bastard. Never.Again.

Every other Imperial Agent I’ll roll will use the possibility to talk him into taking his ball and going home. As long as this fight is so goddamn buggy on top of being insanely difficult I will not do that to myself again.

Sheeesh, that pile of bugs is known since beta, and Bioware hasn’t been able to fix them until now? If it were any skippable quest I wouldn’t be so mad, but this is a class-quest, for crying out loud.

And now a totally unrelated public service announcement: Once I’ll got Mass Effect 3 delivered and installed on my machine I won’t be around much, ingame and out of game, until I have beaten ME3 at least once. What marvellous coincidence that I’ll have vacation from friday onward… *gnihihi*

Taming Origin

24 February 2012

If you are like me, the necessity to install Origin in order to be able to play Mass Effect 3 gave you more than just a little headache. I value the my privacy — be it online or offline — very highly. The spying potiential of Origin prevented me from pre-ordering the game so far.

Luckily for all of us, poster Bluefall on Livejournal just posted a very nice tutorial on how you can quarantine Origin with Sandboxie.

I <3 you, Bluefall. :)
